Immortality

Immortality is a poem I wrote a year ago I think. I used to write a lot of poetry and stories when I was younger and then I don’t know, something happened and I stopped. I still used to dabble but never anything serious. So, ‘Immortality’ is a dabbling creation.

Since about a month ago, I have found my love for writing again and that’s why I even decided to have a blog. So, to start off, I am posting one of my old work. I can’t find almost all of my old poetry and stories, so I’m going to have to start from scratch. Anyway, please enjoy. J

Immortality

In a world where love is rarely found,

I know I'll always have you.

Where hate has engulfed the hearts of many,

I know I'll always have you.

Where dreams are far away from reality

I know I'll always have you.

And nightmares are way too real

I know I'll always have you.

In times of heartache frustration and pain

I know I'll always have you.

And in times of love, joy and happiness

I know I'll always have you.

So I fear not when my heart is wary.

I fear not when my mind is weak.

I fear not when I am down,

Because I know I'll always have you.
